During the misty month of November when families are making their olive oil, there is the San Miniato truffle fair. The picturesque Tuscan town is covered in the wonderful aroma of the white truffle during the weekend fairs. Italians rarely import food, preferring to eat their own seasonal produce and are very suspicious of foreign foods.
The local restaurants attract Italians from far and wide and serve this perfect ingredient with a buttery tagliolini or simply with veal. You don’t want to over power this great produce.
